LLATL Gold Book Literary Criticism

The main goal of the course, Literary Criticism, is to prepare the student for college level writing. All the writing assignments are based on literature and intended to challenge the student’s ability to think critically. Students will be introduced to different methods of literary criticism and given instructions, along with example papers, on writing essays. By the end of the course, the student will have written a short memoir, a college essay, nine five-paragraph essays, three five-page essays, and one ten-page essay.
 
The Gold Book – Literary Criticism offers easy-to-use instructions for student and teacher. The book is written for student self-direction, with answers for the teacher in the back of the book.
